The Marketing Feed now tracks the Google ads your competitors / peers run, shows the sales your own ads drive, and delivers the report as clean A4 pages.

Competitor / peer Google ads, purchases and revenue join the monthly report

Three changes to the Marketing Feed this week, all in the report that lands on the 2nd. The Google ads your competitors / peers run are now watched alongside their Meta ads. Your own Meta Ads and Google Ads campaigns now show purchases and revenue, not just spend and clicks. And the PDF now arrives as proper A4 pages you can print, page through and pass on.

Google ads from your competitors / peers

The feed has always watched the ads your competitors / peers run on Facebook and Instagram, through the Meta Ad Library. It now reads the Google Ads Transparency Center as well. Every competitor / peer you name with a website is checked each day. The feed records how many Google ads they have live, how many started this month, and the mix of text, image and video, with every creative kept on file.

That data runs through the whole report. It sits in the competitor / peer table and chart. It feeds the written read on what the market is pushing, the market benchmarks and the quarterly strategy report. It also drives alerts. You hear about it in the morning when a competitor / peer starts running Google ads, launches new ones, or stops altogether.

There is nothing to set up. If a competitor / peer is in your feed with a website, their Google ads are already being tracked.

Purchases and revenue from your own ads

Spend and clicks only tell half the story. The Meta Ads and Google Ads sections now carry purchases and purchase value, for the account and for every campaign. The Meta Ads card shows Purchases and Revenue beside spend and clicks. The Google Ads campaign table gains Purchases and Revenue columns, counted from the conversions you have set up as purchases in Google Ads.

So you can see which campaigns sell, not just which ones get clicked. A remarketing campaign that costs more per click but brings in more revenue is now plain on the page, month by month.

A report that reads like a document

The monthly and quarterly PDFs used to arrive as one very long page. They now arrive as A4 pages. Charts, cards and table rows are never cut in half by a page break. Headings stay with the section they introduce. Long tables carry on to the next page with their column headings repeated. Every page after the cover carries the report title and a page number.

The history tables now title themselves from the months actually on file. A channel you connected recently is labelled with the months it really covers, not a fixed thirteen.

In every report from today

All three are part of the standard report, with no extra cost and no new settings. The September reports that land today carry all three. Connect your channels once, name your competitors / peers, and the rest happens on its own.

The Marketing Feed starts at $249 a month and the first month is free. See everything the feed watches on the Marketing Feed page.
