The Marketing Feed now reports video the way video is bought and watched: views on YouTube ads, your best Facebook and Instagram videos, and every Instagram Story.
More of the work brands put into marketing is now video. A YouTube campaign, a Reel, a Story that is gone in a day. The Marketing Feed now reports all three on their own terms. Video ads are measured by views, not purchases. Your best videos on Facebook and Instagram get a section of their own. And Instagram Stories are counted before they disappear.
Google Ads that reports video as video
A brand that runs only video ads on Google does not sell from a YouTube pre-roll. Showing it purchases and revenue columns full of zeros tells it nothing. So the Google Ads section now reads the type of each campaign and changes shape to match.
An account that runs only video campaigns gets cards for Views, Impressions, View rate, Average cost per view and Spend. The campaign table shows views, impressions, view rate, cost per view, clicks and spend for each campaign. A chart tracks spend against views month by month. The search keywords table is left out, because there are no keywords to show.
An account that mixes search and video gets Views and View rate columns beside the usual ones. Purchases and Revenue appear only when the account actually records them. Every brand sees the numbers that fit how it advertises, with nothing to set up.
Your top videos on Facebook and Instagram
Top posts are ranked by engagement. That is the right measure for a post, but a video is judged by how many people watch it. The report can now carry a separate section, Top Videos: Facebook and Instagram, that ranks every video you published that month by views.
It sits alongside top posts, not in place of them. Any video counts, from a Reel to a long upload on your Facebook page. You can see at a glance which pieces held attention and which did not.
This one is your choice. Open your brand, go to the Setup tab and find the Report options card. Switch Top videos on and the section appears in your reports from then on. Switch it off and it goes.
Instagram Stories, counted before they vanish
Stories leave your profile after 24 hours, and their numbers are easy to lose with them. The Instagram section now includes Story views and Story reach for the month, so Stories sit in the same report as your feed posts and Reels.
The feed also checks your Instagram account for new Stories every hour. Each Story is captured with its own numbers while it is still live. Nothing depends on someone remembering to screenshot it before it expires.
In your reports now
Video reporting and Instagram Stories are part of the standard monthly report, at no extra cost. Top videos is one switch on the Setup tab. Connect Google Ads, Facebook and Instagram once and the feed does the rest, every month, on the 2nd. You can also generate a report for any completed month whenever you want one.
The Marketing Feed starts at $249 a month and the first month is free. See everything the feed watches on the Marketing Feed page.
