Google Analytics and Search Console

One Google sign-in connects both Google Analytics and Search Console. You can connect either one, or both.

Sign in with the Google account that has access to the Analytics property and the Search Console site.

  1. Go to Marketing Feed > your brand > Setup tab > Channels.

  2. Under Add a channel > Google, select Google Analytics (+ Search Console).

  3. Sign in to Google and approve access.

  4. Back in the app you’ll see “Google connected as” your email. Choose:

    • Google Analytics property
    • Search Console site

Pick Not now for either one if you don’t want it.

  5. Select Connect.

The app preselects the Search Console site that matches your brand’s website, and the Analytics property if your account only has one. Check both before you connect.

Both channels show Loading history while the last 12 months load.

  • Google Analytics: users, new users, sessions, average engagement time and key events.
  • Search Console: clicks, impressions, click-through rate (CTR), average position, top search queries and top landing pages.

The report also uses Search Console to show search demand and how much of it you capture. See the Metric glossary.

If a brand has both Google Analytics and Plausible connected, the report uses one of them, never a blend. See Choose which analytics the report uses.

“That Google account has no Analytics properties or Search Console sites we can read.” You signed in with an account that doesn’t own them, or they’re already connected to this brand. Connect again with the Google account that owns them.
