Alerts, digest and Slack

Your channels and competitors / peers are checked every morning. When something moves, an alert lands in the app and in your inbox. Every Monday you get a round-up of the week.

  • Overview tab > Recent activity shows the last three entries. Select See all for the rest.
  • Activity tab shows everything for the brand on one timeline, newest first: alerts, competitor / peer moves and the work you log. Use the chips at the top to see only Alerts or only Competitors. Select Show all to see beyond the first twenty.

The Activity tab shows a count of alerts from the last seven days. The line under the brand name shows when the most recent one landed.

Each alert shows the date, the channel it’s about, its type, the competitor / peer it’s about (if any) and what happened.

Type What triggers it
Ad spend A swing in your ad spend.
Ad costs Your ad costs (CPM) going up.
Followers A drop in your followers.
Search A dip in your Google search clicks.
Backlinks A drop in the number of websites linking to you. Professional and Strategic. See Backlinks.
AI search Your AI share of voice fell 10 points or more, a competitor / peer is now named in more AI answers than you, or AI answers cite new websites. Professional and Strategic. See AI search visibility.
Competitor / peer ads A competitor / peer starts running new ads, or stops running ads. New ads come with links to view them.
Competitor / peer reviews A jump in a competitor / peer’s reviews.
Competitor / peer followers A jump in a competitor / peer’s followers.

Some alerts are highlighted as more important than others.

Every Monday, a round-up of the week is emailed to you. It opens with any Overdue actions, each with its owner, due date and how many days late it is. An action 30 or more days overdue also asks whether you still want it. Then come the week’s biggest moves and alerts.

If Slack is set up, overdue actions post there too. See When an action is overdue.

Alerts and the Monday digest are emailed. Add a Slack incoming webhook and they post to a Slack channel as well.

Owners and admins can set this up.

  1. In Slack, create an incoming webhook for the channel you want and copy its URL. It starts with https://hooks.slack.com/services/.
  2. In the app, go to Marketing Intelligence > your brand > Setup > Notifications.
  3. Paste it into the box on the Slack row.
  4. Select Save.

The Slack row shows Connected.

To stop posting to Slack, clear the URL and select Turn off.

Slack is set for each brand separately.

Alerts and the digest need an active subscription. If your subscription ends or isn’t set up, they’re paused. See Manage your subscription.
