Google Business Profile

Google Business Profile is your free business listing on Google Search and Google Maps. It shows your name, location, hours, phone number, photos and reviews.

For anyone searching for a local service, your profile is often the first thing they see, before your website. Google ranks local results on relevance, distance and prominence. You can’t pay for a better local ranking.

  1. Claim and verify it. Go to business.google.com, search for your business and follow the steps to verify you own it.
  2. Fill in everything:
    • Business name, exactly as it appears on your signage. Don’t add keywords.
    • The most specific primary category that fits, plus any secondary categories.
    • Address or service area, phone number and website.
    • Opening hours, including public holidays.
    • Services or products, with short descriptions.
  3. Add photos. Your premises, team, vehicles and real work. Add new ones regularly.
  4. Keep details consistent. Your name, address and phone number should match your website and other listings exactly.
  5. Get and reply to reviews. See Google reviews.
  6. Post updates. Offers, news and recent projects keep the profile active.

Sign in with the Google account that manages the profile, then search your business name on Google or go to business.google.com. You can also edit it in the Google Maps app.
